Open Mic, Live Music, Kitchen open until 10 pm
Saturday, January 27th 7:30 pm – latehttp://www.reisszibin.com/ Reiss Zibin What an incredible voice and stage presence this Castlegar transplant has. Reiss has crafted some great originals in the vein of Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morrisette and she picks some choice covers to showcase her musical talent. Recently she has started playing with Turner backing her up on bass to fill out her sound. I’m sensing some upward musical trajectory from these two – come check them out and see what I mean. Bonus – they both love to jam with other players so get ready for a full stage all night long! Kitchen open until 10 pm No Cover Charge
Sunday, January 28th – 12:30 to 2:30 pm
Not a painter? No problem. This is a creative experience at any level of painting so beginners are welcome. This is a very colourful painting and it’s just different when you paint in a social setting with atmosphere, food and drink and of course step by step instruction. So 40$ gets you a ticket and all supplies.

This band formed from repeat jam-night offenders around Fernie when a mutual love for the music of The Who was discovered between drummer Keith and guitarist/vocalist John. Nick entered the mix on bass to round out the sound and a bona fide tribute band was born. These guys nail The Who and other choice covers that fit in their wheelhouse. Plus they love to jam with other players so guaranteed to be a fun night and not to be missed by any Who fan! Kitchen open until 10 pm NO COVER!
The annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796). Celebrated on, or about, the Bard’s birthday, January 25th, Burns Suppers range from formal gatherings of poets and scholars to uproariously informal rave-ups of drunkards and louts.
We at the Fernie prefer the latter and invite you in for homemade steak pie (haggis was proving very difficult to source) with a bowl of Cullen Sink (Scottish Chowder) all prepared from our very Scottish Chef Chris Vint!
The stage is open to all poets, dress code: kilts optional
